Stephanie Miller

Music has always been a part of Stephanie’s life. Her first instrument was the flute and later, while studying at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, she started playing the harp.

After finishing her B.S in Early Childhood and Elementary Education with a minor in music, Stephanie enrolled in the Music for Healing and Transition Program (MHTP). She graduated as a Certified Music Practitioner (CMP) in March of 2008.  In the fall of 2009, Stephanie completed her training with Sarajane Williams, MA, VAHT, as a Vibroacoustic Harp Therapy Practitioner. Vibroacoustic Harp Therapy (VAHT) is a unique method of applying live harp music to help bring one’s body back into balance. Stephanie is currently providing VAHT services by appointment.  Stephanie is also a registered Music Together teacher, providing age appropriate informal musical experiences for children and their families.

Stephanie is a composer and a performer, and her original music has been featured in two documentaries: Discover Ireland: A Literary Adventure (2005) and most recently in Bethany’s Story: The Power from Within (2013). She also performed in and provided music for Dinosaur Diorama’s webseries All’s Faire.

Currently, Stephanie Miller works as a Music Specialist for the Early Childhood Development Center at The Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh.  She also works as a CMP playing the harp at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, UPMC Shadyside Hospital, and at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.  She also has volunteered as a CMP at several other local hospitals and hospices in the Pittsburgh area including the Magee Women’s Hospital and Forbes Hospice

Stephanie also provides live harp music for restorative yoga at Breathe Yoga Studio, generally twice per month. Check our calendar for upcoming dates.
