II. Allemande from Cello Suite No. 1 by J.S. Bach for 15/14 Hammered Dulcimer
II. Allemande from Cello Suite No. 1 by J.S. Bach for 15/14 Hammered Dulcimer
This is sheet music for the second movement from Bach’s Cello Suite No. 1 arranged for 15/14 Hammered Dulcimer.
This is an arrangement of the Allemande, the second movement of Cello Suite No. 1 by J.S. Bach. It is arranged for 15/14 hammered dulcimer.
The Allemande is a medium-paced dance, somewhat serious in mood and tone. Unlike the constant flow of the previous movement, the Prelude, the Allemande has a number of dotted eight note pauses, moments of brief rest in the dance.
Other than the change in octave, the score for this piece has no alterations to meet the range of the 15/14 hammered dulicmer.
Included are two versions of this movement from Bach’s Cello Suite #1. One is a blank copy of the music, arranged for the 15/14 hammered dulcimer, allowing you to make any notations or marks that you find helpful. The second version is the transcription of how I have chosen to play the movement. A description of the marking system is included.
The range of this movement is D3 to G5.
