Stephanie Miller, CMP, VAHTP

Stephanie Miller is a composer, performer, and trained therapeutic musician, as well as a skilled drum circle facilitator and educator. Her original music has been featured in two documentaries: Discover Ireland: A Literary Adventure (2005) and Bethany’s Story: The Power from Within (2013). She also performed in and provided music for Dinosaur Diorama’s web series All’s Faire.

Since 2009, Stephanie has been leading drum circles and offering a variety of music-related services through Music for Life of Pittsburgh, LLC. In 2020, she became an educator for her alma mater, the Music for Healing and Transition Program. Additionally, she served as a Music Specialist for the Early Childhood Development Center at The Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh for 12 years. Her experience as a Certified Music Practitioner has brought her to several Pittsburgh hospitals, including UPMC Children’s, Shadyside, McKeesport, and Hillman Cancer Center.

Currently, Stephanie offers Vibroacoustic Harp Therapy (VAHT), a unique healing method that uses the vibrations of live therapeutic harp music to restore balance and address conditions such as pain, PTSD, and anxiety. In 2021, she helped develop the first VAHT program for Pittsburgh veterans at the H. John Heinz III VA Pittsburgh Campus. Her work was featured in the Fall 2022 edition of the Harp Therapy Journal. Stephanie also offers VAHT sessions for students at the Western Pennsylvania School for the Blind, through the 10/27 Healing Partnership, and by appointment at Green Heiress Holistic Health in Aspinwall, which is part of Rooted in Sound. Since 2023, she has also facilitated weekly drum circles for elementary students at Eden Hall Upper Elementary School in the Pine-Richland School District.

Stephanie is a member of the band Steve and the Millers, a collaboration between Steve Sciulli, Stephanie Miller, and Robert Miller. Blending acoustic and electronic sounds, the band creates transformative musical experiences. In addition to her work in therapeutic music, Stephanie provides live music for weddings, private, and corporate events.
